No, iPhone SE is not a flop in US: Report

Apple's all-new iPhone SE may have received a lacklustre response in India. However, since its launch on March 31 in the US, the iPhone SE has seen demand outstrip supply.

According to a report in Apple Insider, analyst Amit Daryanani of RBC Capital Markets issued a note to investors last week stating that the new 4-inch iPhone is hard to find both offline and online. The earliest date of delivery too has been pushed back to two weeks in many stores in the country.

According to the note, almost all models across all carriers are out of stock at Apple's retail outlets. The Apple Store in Fifth Avenue in New York has reportedly run out of iPhone SEs's stock and is only taking pre-orders.

Apple Insider also claimed that the company "continues to see stock-outs and shipping delays for the iPhone SE. New free deliveries in the US aren't advertised to arrive until April 25 through 28."

Quoting RBC Capital's Daryanani, the report said that iPhone SE will drive 15 million more incremental iPhone sales for Apple in 2016. According to his estimates, iPhone SE could drive $6.8 billion in revenue for Apple this year.

Similar reports have also come from UK and Australia. According to a report in mobilechoiceuk.com website, Apple has announced on its website in the country that both 16GB and 64GB models of iPhone SE will ship between April 22-27 for customers who place their order now.
